Resubmission Open-Sourcing the GRAMO Loyalty Platform

Previous discussion, including valuable additional information in the comments:

Why are we resubmitting?

For the second time, our proposal was evaluated by an xGov committee drawn from an earlier 1M-block period, with many inactive members. Although we received a majority of positive votes, reached the voting quorum, and had strong participation from 48 voters, 52 were required for approval. We understand it's not a rejection from the community but the nuances of xGov system what is making difficult to get the proposal approved, so we have therefore decided to submit the proposal for a third and final time.

The GRAMO platform

GRAMO (https://gramo.io) is a blockchain-based loyalty and rewards platform built on Algorand and operating in production since 2022.

Customers at three partner retail stores in Madrid earn GRAMO tokens by uploading purchase receipts through our web application: https://app.gramo.io.

The platform uses custodial wallets while allowing withdrawals to self-custody wallets. This enables Web2 users to enter the Algorand ecosystem without needing prior crypto knowledge or interaction with exchanges.

The application supports:

GRAMO currently has approximately 2,000 registered users, more than 2,000 on-chain token holders, and over 7,200 verifiable on-chain reward-related transactions from project distribution wallets.

What are we proposing?

We are requesting 149,999 ALGO to fully open-source the GRAMO application (including the backend, frontend, database structure, and Algorand integration) under the MIT licence.

Following community feedback on the previous proposal, we have already made the repository publicly available: https://github.com/CryptoGRAMO/gramo_dashboard_public

What does the codebase contain?

GRAMO is a full-stack application with three years of production use and hardening:

Why is this valuable for Algorand builders?

Tokenized loyalty is a major real-world blockchain use case, but there is currently no comparable open-source, Algorand-native reference implementation.

Developers building ASA-based rewards platforms must repeatedly solve the same problems:

GRAMO provides working, production-tested solutions to these challenges. Rather than starting from zero, developers could fork the repository, adapt it, and build new loyalty applications more quickly.

It would also provide the Python and Django communities with a rare production-grade Algorand reference implementation in an ecosystem currently dominated by JavaScript and TypeScript. Its publication may also improve Algorand’s visibility in AI-assisted searches related to blockchain, Django, React, and loyalty applications.

Why now?

The Algorand Foundation’s roadmap prioritizes mainstream adoption and real-world use cases. Loyalty programs directly support these goals by connecting physical businesses to on-chain activity and introducing non-speculative users to Algorand.

GRAMO is mature, stable, already operating in production, and now publicly available for the community to use and extend.

This version removes repetition while retaining the proposal rationale, adoption metrics, funding request, technical scope, and ecosystem value.
