New process to validate ASAs

AlgoExplorer verification process: How do I verify my asset or application with AlgoExplorer’s Login System for Creators? | by Pablo Yabo | Rand Labs | May, 2022 | Medium

Warning: Pay attention to scam wallets

Finally, the site was suspended, thanks for your report that I linked in the request.

Gandalf,
I am sorry to hear that you were scammed.
I have already reported this site. I have done it again today. You can report it too to help to remove it.
The report email of the hosting is: support@serverfreak.com
Please, remove the link to the fake wallet.
Thanks for sharing your experience…

Read the blockchain

You will be able to use AlgoExplorer API with the indexer update soon.

If you use algoexplorer API you can retrieve the information in the way you want, but I don’t get what is exactly the information you need.

Hi Enzo,
You can use AlgoExplorer API, it is free and compatible with Algorand Node, you just need to change the url: https://algoexplorer.io/api-dev

Is it possible to find out AssetID after destroying the standard asset?

Hi,
What’s the address ID?

Rewards Mismatch for a particular Address

You can get from the API the rewards collected from the latest transaction: https://api.algoexplorer.io/v1/transaction/3UHP3SOBZIXIISS6OHACCOXOMPMF3GXSLVENMD7AQIPGS7FB74OA The rewards distributed on that transaction to your address are in: accumulatedCloseRewards The rest of the rewards are ‘pending…

Algorand co-chains

I think that co-chains are private chains and they will keep compatibility but it is not part of the announcement.

It depends on the co-chain, you will be able to issue as many tokens you want.
You are able to create your own genesis assignments as in any private chain of Algos within the co-chain. I don’t think you will be able to create token assignments on the genesis since they aren’t created at that stage…

You can use now a private chain, the interoperable features I don’t know.

The co-chains generate their blocks and can have a completely different consensus, the difference in Algorand is that it will be able to interact with other co-chains and with the mainchain.

Private key from myalgo wallet

You can create a wallet using myalgo, the private key is generated offline and stored in your browser locally. Just go to Add Wallet -> Create Wallet.
If you are storing small amounts of algos, it is good enough but it isn’t recommended for large amounts.
Best,
Pablo

Hi,
When you create a new wallet (Add Wallet), the wallet will show all the security phrases that are the equivalent to the private key. Then, it will ask you to verify it asking for some of the words in the list. That’s the private key where your algos are stored (25 words).
As an alternative and t…

Mobile wallet security doubt

I don’t see it as ‘cold’ because it is connected and syncing the node. It is very limited with improves the security but it isn’t cold. To be cold, the keys should be stored offline and each signing process should be executed in an isolated environment too.

Ledger Nano S has a secure element which is tamper-resistant, it means that the attacker can’t get the private key even accessing physically to the device.
It is not the case with a Raspberry Pi solution and also it is simpler.

How to get 'pending rewards'

Hi,
We’ll add that information in the next release.
Best,
Pablo

Sending funds from ledger on macos

Hi,
You can use the MyAlgo Algorand Hardware Wallet where you can use Ledger Nano S on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
If you can’t do it please, send the report, we tested this configuration and it should work.
Best,
Pablo

GET /v1/account/{address}/transactions API

Hi,
You can use: https://api.algoexplorer.io/v1/account/2BKEKSQSWMOHFNFL7BXHKRUBIEHKYAJ4TGVGAYROFBLISWAA4JN2JIAMDQ/transactions/latest/100 100 is the maximum. Full documentation is here: https://api.algoexplorer.io/v1/doc/swagger.yml
Best,
Pablo

A suggestion for a light-client wallet (like the BTC SPV wallet with Merkle tree)

You can also use wallet.myalgo.com which is lightweight and relays on Algoexplorer API, and it supports Ledger Nano S.

Using the REST API

Hi Dave,
AlgoExplorer has a full API. We will release it publicly very soon but if you want to start playing with it you can get full documentation here: https://api.algoexplorer.io/v1/doc/swagger.yml, you can open this file with https://editor.swagger.io/ to read it fully formatted.

Broken Algorand fork-free property: Another Look at ALGORAND

I don’t think the article deserves much attention. It has several mistakes in the assumptions.
Runtime Verification is a company that is focus on formal verification, they build products, languages and won grants from NASA in this field.
They formally proof that Algorand can’t fork:

Algoexplorer Stake Rewards full state and Tradeable Supply Released

The balance on the stake rewards page should be equal to the balance at the moment of the last transaction, you can check the balance at that transaction in the transaction details page.
If that isn’t the case, report the address by PM.

Balances get updated when there is activity on the account. If the address doesn’t receive or send a transaction it isn’t updated. Algorand node works in the same way, the participation rewards are in pending state until they receive or send a transaction, that’s why the staking programs got only th…

It was restored, the EIP votation has started but not approved yet.

Custom token on algorand

Your code will run off-chain and the protocol will be written by you so you can add a function to mint tokens like in a smart contract.
The code interpreting the token code will run the same code and should implement an API to retrieve current status. Any other party can run the same code and interpret…

Everything you implement on top of Algorand is PoS since the consensus is at the consensus level. If the transaction is added to the blockchain it means that the PoS protocol found the transaction valid. Then, your token implementation will interpret the transactions that were added to the blockchain, the transaction that will happen will be the same process.
Yes, you can build a token putting the trade information in the Note field. You can read AssetBlock article about the security token they are building here:

The idea is simple, you put all the transfer information (and any other thing you want) in the Note Field, which is a part of the transaction.
