AlgoExplorer API: Algorand Node API end-points will be limited
Dec 20, 2021
Hi, I want to communicate to the developer community that AlgoExplorer API will limit access to Algorand Node API only to those APIs that are not available on Algorand Indexer API. This change does not mean that we are limiting functionality, but we want to structure queries to optimize the resources…

Rewards Mismatch for a particular Address
Apr 22, 2020
You can get from the API the rewards collected from the latest transaction: https://api.algoexplorer.io/v1/transaction/3UHP3SOBZIXIISS6OHACCOXOMPMF3GXSLVENMD7AQIPGS7FB74OA The rewards distributed on that transaction to your address are in: accumulatedCloseRewards. The rest of the rewards are ‘pending…
Algorand co-chains
Apr 15, 2020
I think that co-chains are private chains and they will keep compatibility but it is not part of the announcement.
Algorand consensus, is BA not necessary?
Apr 13, 2020
This paper was posted several times in the community and it is wrong. Runtime Verification verified that the protocol doesn’t fork: https://runtimeverification.com/blog/formally-verifying-algorand-reinforcing-a-chain-of-steel-modeling-and-safety/
Algorand co-chains
Apr 10, 2020
It depends on the co-chain, you will be able to issue as many tokens you want. You are able to create your own genesis assignments as in any private chain of Algos within the co-chain.
Private key from myalgo wallet
Mar 18, 2020
You can create a wallet using myalgo, the private key is generated offline and stored in your browser locally. Just go to Add Wallet -> Create Wallet. If you are storing small amounts of algos, it is good enough but it isn’t recommended for large amounts. Best, Pablo
Mobile wallet security doubt
Feb 25, 2020
I don’t see it as ‘cold’ because it is connected and syncing the node. It is very limited which improves the security but it isn’t cold. To be cold, the keys should be stored offline and each signing process should be executed in an isolated environment too.
How to get 'pending rewards'

Hi, We’ll add that information in the next release. Best, Pablo

Broken Algorand fork-free property: Another Look at ALGORAND
Oct 22, 2019
I don’t think the article deserves much attention. It has several mistakes in the assumptions. Runtime Verification is a company that focuses on formal verification. They formally proved that Algorand can’t fork:
Algoexplorer Stake Rewards full state and Tradeable Supply Released
Oct 5, 2019
The balance on the stake rewards page should be equal to the balance at the moment of the last transaction; you can check the balance at that transaction in the transaction details page. If that isn’t the case, report the address by PM.
Algoexplorer Stake Rewards full state and Tradeable Supply Released
Oct 3, 2019
Balances get updated when there is activity on the account. If the address doesn’t receive or send a transaction it isn’t updated. Algorand node works in the same way; the participation rewards are in pending state until they receive or send a transaction.

Custom token on algorand
Jul 26, 2019
Your code will run off-chain and the protocol will be written by you, so you can add a function to mint tokens like in a smart contract. The code interpreting the token code will run the same code and should implement an API to retrieve current status.
Custom token on algorand
Jul 24, 2019
Everything you implement on top of Algorand is PoS since the consensus is at consensus level. If the transaction is added to the blockchain it means that the PoS protocol found the transaction valid.

Yes, you can build a token putting the trade information in the Note field. You can read the AssetBlock article about the security token they are building here.
