xGov-210 - Lotto Race Advertising on Vestige - RETROACTIVE
This is the best compliment I’ve received today Yes, I’m Italian. This is not a country where you have many opportunities to speak English with other people, so we write it quite well but speak it quite poorly, generally speaking. Yep, I chat with Kappa almost every day.
This is impossible, as many non-native speakers I cannot sustain a real-time voice conversation. If I don’t understand half of what you’re asking me I’ll just look dumb. With a more engaged community there would be people capable of doing it in my place, but it’s a chicken-and-egg problem.
I hate gambling too, this was meant to be different, but I understand the reluctance. However, it would be hard to reach the masses only with financial products.
Unfortunately, I have tried this strategy for months, but Algorand seems like a ghost town even on Twitter. I have regularly posted on Blog, Twitter, Discord and Telegram, started initiatives, formed partnerships with other communities, but it’s all useless, it seems that the Algorand community is...
Vidhyanandcs commented 8 hours ago: As per the new ARC 34 rules advertisement expenses cannot be included in xGov. This is really bad, visibility is the only thing I need, without that the project is dead. I don’t think it’s fair, is there anything I can do to address the issue?
I wouldn’t have started any project if there wasn’t UseWallet. A more universal, non-React-bound version would certainly be needed. Ensuring compatibility with new wallet releases and protocol changes is crucial.

This doesn’t appear the OpenCL version, but there are still other public projects implementing it.
For some reason, iIIusi0n’s Ed25519 key generation code using OpenCL has become private.
It doesn’t mean someone will, but there are many coders here, we know how to evaluate a project’s complexity. Galvanity, a vanity generator written in go, is about 1K lines of code. We are talking about a command-line tool, much of it already available as open source; I think your estimation is a bit...
I’d be a big fan of this tool, but I don’t think its complexity justifies months of work and too high remuneration; these things take a few days of work.
This instead is a real example of an (active) wallet with a 9-character vanity, using the dictionary approach: https://allo.info/account/EVILLAUGHQNACOFE6D7CSOEEMKBB7ZXJZSUBA2NVU4KP5UXENP42QYKO2I/
https://allo.info/account/SILVIOMICALIANDALGORANDWILLRULETHEBLOCKCHAINWORLD222XNHM4I/ this can be done in 2 milliseconds. But beware, it’s a black hole, everything that goes in will never come out again
The difference to a CPU-based generator would be getting vanity of 7-8 characters instead of the usual 5-6, and I would absolutely love that. It sounds like a small difference, but it’s not, especially when linked to a dictionary to look up interesting addresses instead of searching for a prefix.
If you want to waste your time, yes, Algoexplorer could simply retrieve the information from Pera, as all other services do, but at the moment it seems like an abandoned project, which by some miracle still keeps the servers up.
These services should be supported by paying subscriptions, I guess that in the past they were supported through Foundation grants, but today, at current prices, this is no longer possible.
Starting your own node is easy, but starting your own indexer is a different story. Algonode is great, but it’s the only one now; we lost the chance to have a fallback.
However, I don’t think they want to give up with Algorexplorer, they only deprecated the API they used to provide public access to Algod and Indexer with a few extra features, the same service you can find in Algonode or Purestake for instance.
You can rekey a normal account to a Ledger account, getting the same security as a native Ledger account without changing your Governance address.
This Algorand-based project decentralizes airline tickets, the problem and solutions must be very similar (you own the ticket so you can also resell or exchange it).
I trust AES-256 protecting the file in the cloud with my password, but again I have to mention that we are talking about a wallet designed to hold low-value items for a limited period of time.
When I say saving in the cloud I mean in your own cloud. All Android users and all iPhone users have some free cloud space, definitely enough to keep a few bytes file. But I keep remembering that we are talking about live events, from when you buy the ticket to when it loses its validity.
A wallet that is supposed to store a live ticket is not as critical as a wallet that is supposed to hold several thousand dollars. Instead, the application should just create a file with the mnemonic, protect it with a password (AES-256), and save it in the cloud for eventual recovery.
Most cryptocurrency users aren’t developers; if the procedure is too complicated, they won’t use it. Having the browser (Chromium) integrated into the package would also safeguard against malicious extensions and scripts installed in the main browser (which is not always Chrome or other Blink-based).
Thank you very much for your reply; I agree that it is crazy that no official wallet supports this function, which is crucial in the corporate environment. This also explains how accounts with millions of ALGOs were so easily stolen.
So a compromised multisig wallet cannot be rekeyed?
Blockchains are not intended for general purposes; non-financial and non-payment system-related applications, while they may exist, would be very rare. An example is the logging of sports or health data. The blockchain is a ledger, so the application will have to be ledger-based at the very least.
If this list is updated, there are 699,866,745 ALGO in the Inc’s wallets:
- GCIMBKDKNABEI3JZIECTLKJLRN7MQ2KQ4HK36Q6TTI5ZXBBW2ZCFGIBNYY 0.964823

Doesn’t cost millions; they spent millions because they could pay in Algo, and there were so many Algo… The Foundation has been particularly “generous” until now and is not obliged to be so forever.
How are those two transactions possible? They are in the same block, having the same sender, same receiver, same amount, and same note. https://algoexplorer.io/tx/2U5EVSJEO5GRRCVPKLIHE2ZYFORTI6IMRUMDLBUYJPX7BRNJXL2Q https://algoexplorer.io/tx/4SVYFHD3RDVDG2Q2MVNB34Z6S2BFHVOIF5WC7QFGEVD7MV3B7RHQ
You mention price, but in what currency do you need the price? USD? If you have an ALGO / YLDY pool on Tinyman, you can’t get the price of YLDY in dollars; you can only get the price in ALGO. Please note that Tinyman or Exchange prices are always completely independent, the reason they are fairly consistent is that the total value of the two assets is always the same; so, if the pool contains 100 of ASSET A and 200 of ASSET B, it means that 1 ASSET A is worth 2 ASSET B; if ASSET B is worth $1, then ASSET A is worth $2.
