Streamlining xGov Council for a High-Quality Election
Sure, we can consider that.
Revisiting a governance decision requires a governance vote. Governance Periods will be shorter: two weeks of commitment and two weeks of voting. The council election shall happen soon to time the results with the release of the xGov platform on mainnet. I’m interested in seeing how the new govern…
Hi @GhostOfMcAfee, not problem at all, you can ping me any time. xGov-204 proposal is proactive and for the last round proactive proposals are only paid upon deliverables verification. Also, the contact is yet to be signed and the team has been unresponsive to emails, which means that at some point…
Thanks Mr.Pickle <3 Congrats to you guys as well!
The strategy Thurstober is following is very good. Instead of asking for say 200,000 algo in one go and then building something that nobody uses is bad for the ecosystem. Instead they are asking for smaller funds so that they can build a feature, get feedback from the community and then build the next one. This…
I’m not on the team but I suspect there will be more grant requests in the future as the needs of the community evolve. All the tools that have been built have been requested or needed by the community in some way or another. All to make things easier and to reduce pain points. With how xgov…
The NFT community is barely getting by as it is. Each day is a struggle. Not good to pass this cost off to starving artists, silvio_rules ← I’m trying to reply to that person's comment who says to charge people for this service. Anyway, it’s a small amount of Algo for a huge impact. More free time …
IMHO give Thurstober Tools the funding. Hard-working dedicated team, open sourcing everything. Have been around for a long time going way out of their way for the NFT community. If it weren’t for Thurstober and LoafPickle, we wouldn’t have an NFT community.
The Community feedback is definitely mixed, but the stress is in “honoring” the vote, therefore I think the best way to move forward, and not waste more time, is to pay the 32k, granted that liquidity requests won’t be allowed from this voting session on.
I told myself that I’ll stay out of this particular topic but come on… give the man his money, take the L and move on. ARC is updated now, so this scenario can’t happen again. So you can consider the 32k algo as a price paid to improve the system. Trying to revoke an on-chain passed vote for the sake of 32…
Love all the tools you guys have created in the past, and this could be a great addition to further help reduce friction in the ecosystem!
My streak of always voting for a Thurstober proposal in xGov will be safe! 😁 Love the discord integration! Looking forward to using it!
