We’ve never described the token as "the main engine of the project". The engine is the platform: the application logic and its integration with various services and partners.

Update for all xGovs: After listening to the feedback in this thread, we’ve decided to open-source the repository in advance. We’re currently cleaning the codebase of sensitive data (API keys, DB passwords, wallet signature keys etc) and will make it public during the discussion period.
