GP14 DeFi Rewards (TDR) Proposal - Folks Finance
TDR is a collective tax and a redistribution of wealth. There is no good reason that the chain as a whole should be paying to incentivize liquidity of coins outside of key trading pairs. Stables and key wrapped assets should be the only focus. Incentives for memecoins should not. And, while it’s bad...
xGov 170: Decentralized Voting & Agreement Signing for Everyone
@scholtz You just deliberately misquoted me by omitting the words ‘or standard’ from the quote. Then you used this omission to justify additional comments. My actual words were: “Please note that we have already stated that we do not intend to utilize your token or standard” You are being deceptive...
Projects funded via xGov should be open source
My concern with applying that restriction (as someone who has created both open & closed-source Algorand products over the years) is:
If the Algorand ecosystem benefits from the existence of a product - OSS or not - then value is being delivered back to the ecosystem commensurate with the grant funding.
Folks Finance G10 Targeted DeFi Rewards Plan
Awesome. Do you guys have any metrics in place to show new addresses and or new users after the contest concludes?
The cool thing about these tools is that everything is public, so you can see the "value" in terms of on-chain activity tasks and content provided by each user. Of course, we’ll make a report summarizing all these stats.
GP8 Measures DRAFT DeFi Rewards Allocation Q4
UPDATE 28 August Thank you all for your feedback. Your deliberation has highlighted the need for further discussion on this topic. We will not proceed with measures 5, 6 and 7 this quarter.
GP8 Measures DRAFT xGov Grants Allocation
Thanks for posting these ahead of time for visibility and community feedback. I support the xGov program as an Algo holder, and as a builder in this ecosystem I have an interest in its success and further expansion. I also think that regular passive governance participation rewards need to be reduced.
Thoughts after attending Decipher's Governance Roundtable on xGovs & ARC-33 Proposal
I attended Decipher this year, and spent over an hour talking and listening with Massimo, Adri, and Michel from the foundation and I wanted to share my thoughts on Governance going forward, as well as thoughts on their recent ARC-33 proposal. You can find that proposal here.
Building doesn't build network effect, engaging does
Over the past year, I have seen a lot of initiatives to encourage developers to build new projects on Algorand. While having legitimate projects is certainly important for success, it is not enough on its own to ensure victory. To illustrate this point, imagine that five legitimate projects suddenly...
Feedback request on proposed Q4 2022 governance measures
All for Measure 1 and 2, but Measure 3 straight up sounds like MONEY LAUNDERING scheme and Foundation should stay away as far as possible for the potential of audit by the SEC. NFT is already a dying business, and the liquidity has been long shrinking before the bear started.
