Developing DApps on Algorand using Reach

Can't reach Algorand Docker container from another container
Hi,
I have a couple of docker containers running of which one is a server- and one an Algorand container. From the server container I can ping the Algorand container. However, when trying to list wallets via the api I get the error returned:
dial tcp 192.xxx.xxx.x:7833: connect: connection refused…
Have you changed $ALGORAND_DATA/config.json (for algod) and $ALGORAND_DATA/kmd/kmd-v0.5/kmd_config.json (for kmd) to allow connections from any IP? By default, it only allows connections from localhost.
Concretely, have you set EndpointAddress to 0.0.0.0:8080 for algod and address to 0.0.0.0:7833?
PyTeal: Writing Algorand Smart Contracts in Python
Hi @Shumo,
We(at buildlabs) are working on a proposal to make a cryptoverse wars style interactive code school just like we did it for tezos and we would like to do the same for the Algorand ecosystem by teaching newcomers to write Algorand Smart Contracts (ASC1) via an interactive tutorial since…
We built an IDE for Algorand
Hi all,
We just built an IDE (integrated development environment) for Algorand. It can help to write and compile TEAL and PyTeal scripts, run Algorand nodes, and construct various Algorand transactions (support atomic transfer, multi-sig, ASA operations, contract execution, etc). If you are interested in trying it out, check it out!

How to get 'pending rewards'
api.algoexplorer.io does not seem to provide the pending rewards value. Note that api.algoexplorer.io is different from the API described on Algorand API Docs which provides pending rewards.
Faster bootstrap on mainnet
Congratulation on your fresh installation! As you’ve noticed, the first sync takes a long time. During that time, your node is downloading each of the blocks, and validate all the signatures along the way to ensure no funny business took place. When it’s done, it will end up with a synchronized node.
