We’re excited to share the highlights from our recent collaboration with Algorand Foundation, where we hosted “MERGE Madrid Warm Up”, a community event in Madrid hosted by Stakely in collaboration with Algorand Foundation that served as a warm-up to MERGE Madrid 2025. Our goal was to bring together…

The xGov Council: Shaping the future of xGov
Date: Feb 25, 2025
Adri, thank you for providing the guidelines. Would it be okay to continue the discussion? Regarding the transparency of duties, there is a provision for holding public discussions. Will these be conducted in real-time through online platforms such as X Spaces or will they take place asynchronou…
Measure 3 is quite a dilemma. In the first place, neither we nor the Foundation have investigative authority, and there is no way to prevent the creation of anonymized addresses or to investigate them. Even if a voting list is published, those who want to vote will still be able to do so. If “No”…
Thanks, everyone, for your contributions. As discussed in the X space last week, GP14 measures are based on your comments above, so we can start defining some of the parameters for the new council. There will be more measures in the future as we continue to evolve the program. Buckle up! :))))
While there are some valid concerns about being doxxed to the public I believe if you’re going to have a role deciding about public blockchain benefits you should be doxxed to the public. Can you imagine a jury trial (court) where a bunch of masked people say you are guilty ? Public fu…
In the new voting tool, xGovs will have three options: yes, no and abstain.
For solo node runners or those staking in a pooled node tool like Valar, each address will be considered individually. For example, if you have two nodes with 3 online addresses each and want to vote using all their voting power, you’ll need to register them all on the xGov platform and vote once for each.
I believe council members should be able to submit proposals but should need to abstain from voting on their own proposals. If they’re building open source public goods that are providing value they should be able to be rewarded for that. I worry the best suited for the council wouldn’t want to join…
Presentation of what is plan for the new xGov’s version.
A. Becoming an xGov Member
Requirements: To participate in the xGov, operate an Algorand node involved in consensus processes. There is no minimum Algo stake requirement. Voting Rights: Each block proposed by your node will accord you one…
That’s part of it. xGovs will be able to vote yes or no.
Nice improvements. Would love to see a mechanism to vote “against” proposal as well.
I believe to protect the chain from unwanted copy cats stamping their name on Algorand's code lines that we need to put into vote to have that information changed to protect the community from bad actors looking to siphon funds and users. We all love Algorand so let's procure the environment in our eco…
Hi Everyone, I’m Alessandro Cappellato Ferrari, Head of Product at the Algorand Foundation. On behalf of the team behind this effort, which is comprised of @Adri @trekianov @StephaneBarroso and @Loedn (myself), I’m happy to present the working document for the evolution of the xGov platform.
I want to run a node but am not super technical, having more user-friendly node management solutions sounds amazing!
