Discussions on Various Proposals

AF Wallet Watcher: Proposal Watcher & Proposal Summaries Enhancement (Proposal #: 3599298458)

Please note first again that I expressed only my opinion. There is no standard. Every proposal can make whatever ask and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the xGovs. That said, even the 25k ALGO ask IMO is too much for the relatively small updates and the produced traction. Please also note …

Wormhole NTT Contracts

What I don’t like about this request for money is that during a Twitter Spaces on July 7th 2025, Benedetto said that NTT would be open sourced once it passed audit, and estimated that would be by Sept 2025. Now it’s many months later, was never made open source, and now asking for $$ instead.

Sealed - Decentralized Post-Quantum Communication - xGov Proposal 3534141276

Hi @igor.m.sealed, can you explain why a blockchain is needed at all and why specifically Algorand?

Feedback on Governance Discussions

As new proposals keep popping up every week, it is becoming very difficult to find out the proposals that I still have to vote. As of now I have to go through each one of the active proposals to see if I have voted or not. This creates a bad UX for everyone. Hope this can be rectified.

Thanks for the proposal and your innovation in encrypted communications! I agree with the comments of @Atsoc1993 on the use of PyTEAL, and the big question regarding the product’s adoption, including whether that is on Algorand testnet or mainnet. @joe-p also raises excellent points and it would be...

Open-Sourcing AVM Email: Joining Encrypted Communications with Defi: 3524536010

Proposed Enhancements

The ideal solution is you just let users choose whichever server they want to use. You could make a server for them and create their account (and have them change their password), but I think it makes much more sense to just let both users decide which server they want to use (could be their own, c…

The wallet mnemonic is not imported from the .env file; it is directly in the deployment code in two files. I know it is only on the testnet, but be careful.

Discussions on Governance Policies

Yes but then the app is no longer decentralized, because off-chain communications are now, although still encrypted, stored off-chain by some entity. I have never been a fan of centralized services, especially with data encrypted or not, because access to that data is at the discretion of the host.

I think it’s the only web app I use from my iPhone home screen! At first, I focused on the desktop version, but after seeing the mobile usage stats, I started improving the UI. Some parts weren’t easy and there’s still room for improvement, but I think it’s totally usable now!
