Feedback request on proposed Q4 2022 governance measures
The tone of these measures come across as not well thought through / sloppy, which can easily be interpreted as hiding information at a high risk moment for the industry.
MEASURE 1:
Why does the answer have to be binary and not a spectrum? For example, why can’t you simply provide a sliding scale a…
This is not decentralized governance! As has been pointed out by many others, the decisions have already been made by the foundation, and merely an illusion of a choice is given to the governors (as in “Here’s your cup of coffee, do you want 2 or 3 spoons of sugar in it?”)
Please put in an option for each measure to not change anything, or keep the status quo. We should not have to choose to do option A or option B if there is no option to not do either option A or option B. This is pigeonholing us into making a choice that has already been predetermined by the measures.
Beyond the specifics of the three proposed measures, I believe it’s important to note in a broader sense that these proposals mark a tonal shift in governance measures. Up until this point, every governance measure has included an option of keeping the status quo. None of these measures do so.

Adding a note on a payment is bread-and-butter stuff, just like Venmo’s model or writing in the memo field of a paper check. I am working on an app where users may opt to provide a note with arbitrary text that would appear on the payment to give the recipient context. I do not support any blanket…
