Algorand node on OpenWrt (Linux)

Has anyone tried and successfully ran Algorand node on OpenWrt which is an embedded Linux distribution?

Hi @MeshPoint,

Welcome! I do not know if anybody managed to run an Algorand node on OpenWrt.

However, an Algorand MainNet node currently requires at least 2GB of RAM and faster-than-HDD storage to run properly. I am afraid most devices running OpenWrt will not satisfy these requirements.

You should however be able to run an app that uses the Algorand network, e.g., by connecting to a node in the cloud or using an Algorand API service: https://developer.algorand.org/docs/community/#api-services
