On April 21, Coinbase Quantum Advisory Council published a position paper on "Quantum Computing and Blockchain." The paper is "a comprehensive assessment of what quantum computing means for crypto, what's actually at risk, and what the industry needs to do about it." The authors review the post-quantum plans for major blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Algorand, Sui, and Aptos.

Among other details, they note:

"Algorand is among the first blockchain platforms to deploy post-quantum (PQ) signature schemes in production across both consensus-related mechanisms and the execution layer."
